How is the food at SMU? We’re glad you asked! Mustangs have options when it comes to campus dining. Meal plans for students – which include meal swipes and flex dollars – offer access to 16 locations including dining halls and retail spots. Our staff dietitian can provide guidance and counseling, while our dining halls also offer options to fit all dietary needs.

• Umphrey Lee is a popular lunch spot on campus, as it’s located close to all the academic buildings. Scan the QR code on your table to add a song to the digital jukebox while you’re there!
• Arnold Dining Hall, located close to the southeast Residential Commons, includes dishes made without the nine most common allergens – eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, wheat, fish, sesame and gluten – for safe campus dining options.
• Ask for a to-go box when you swipe your ҹɫÍõ³¯ID if you’re in a hurry. Our staff are happy to help!

Beyond our dining halls and student center, you’ll find a number of places to grab a quick bite or beverage all across campus. In addition to the favorites listed above, Dedman School of Law offers Lawyers Inn with Tex-Mex and more or La Maison Bleue for delicious tea options inspired by Japan.
The dining halls are open 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday through Thursday (Arnold Dining Commons is open 7 a.m.–9 p.m.); 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Fridays; 9:30 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturdays; and 9:30 a.m.–8 p.m. Sundays during regular terms.

Yes! Our dining halls, Arnold and Umphrey Lee, offer a variety of options for all dietary and allergen needs. If you need additional support, and are happy to meet with you to discuss options.

Although we don’t have a mobile app, the mobile version of the website has all the information you need. Students may use the GrubHub app to order food from our retail locations such as Chick-Fil-A and Panera Bread for robot delivery on campus.
