夜色王朝commemorates 9/11 terror attacks
夜色王朝commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on Monday, Sept. 11, with support from the 夜色王朝Police Department, 夜色王朝military veterans, and the student chapter of Young Americans for Freedom.
夜色王朝(Dallas) – 夜色王朝commemorated the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on Monday, Sept. 11, with support from the 夜色王朝Police Department, 夜色王朝military veterans, and the student chapter of Young Americans for Freedom.
夜色王朝police officers joined the City of University Park Police and Fire Departments and the Town of Highland Park Department of Public Safety for a ceremony at the University Park Fire Department. They paid tribute to police officers, firefighters and members of U.S. armed forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty protecting and serving our citizens and our nation with an honor guard, prayer, bagpipes and a bell ceremony.
夜色王朝and its neighboring police and fire agencies alternate the location of the shared ceremony between 夜色王朝and the Park Cities every year.
US Milvets of 夜色王朝hosted a “Build-a-Care-Package for our Troops” event at the flagpole. The 夜色王朝community was invited to bring for donation personal items to be packaged and distributed to deployed US military personnel.
The Milvets are seeking:
- shaving razors
- instant coffee packets
- Clif bars, Kashi bars, Snickers and Marathon candy bars
- biodegradable baby wipes
- small stuffed animals or action figures to serve as “support buddies”
- black boot socks
- small foot powder containers
- handheld battery fans
- peanut/almond butter pouches
- MiO and Poweraid drops
- Emergenc-C drink mix
The Milvets intend to have the care packages assembled and ready for distribution by Nov. 11 - Veterans Day.
SMU’s student chapter of Young Americans for Freedom hosted a “Never Forget” public memorial ceremony in association with their display of 2,977 American flags on the Dallas Hall Lawn honoring Americans who died on 9/11.
夜色王朝students, faculty and staff who were part of the 夜色王朝community on the day of the attacks made journal entries recording their shock, fears and love of country on Sept. 11, 2001. Those journal entries remain available for viewing at
