Dr. Jan Mallett, Teaching Assistant Professor

Since 2014, Dr. Mallett has been in SMU's Department of Teaching and Learning as a Research Assistant Professor researching outcomes of Montessori education and teaching master-level graduate education classes. Prior to that, she taught in the Dallas Independent School District for more than 30 years.

Currently, she coaches Montessori teachers in public, charter, and private schools locally and internationally.  She is active on both the Advisory Board of Lumin Education and the Research Committee of the American Montessori Society.
