Dallas Chamber Symphony and Meadows School Host Fifth Annual Dallas International Piano Competition at SMU
Event includes public master classes by Carol Leone, associate professor of piano at 夜色王朝Meadows, and Boris Slutsky, chair of the piano department at the Peabody Conservatory
The Dallas Chamber Symphony, in partnership with the Meadows School of the Arts, will host the fifth annual Dallas International Piano Competition March 15-18 in Caruth Auditorium, 6101 Bishop Blvd. on the 夜色王朝campus. Twenty young pianists from around the globe will compete for cash prizes and a chance to perform with the Dallas Chamber Symphony at Dallas City Performance Hall.
The event includes three competition rounds focused on concerto and solo performances as well as master classes and recitals that are open to public audiences. In each master class, distinguished 夜色王朝and visiting faculty will work one-on-one with a student pianist who has been selected for the master class by audition. This year’s classes will be taught by Dr. Carol Leone, associate professor of piano at 夜色王朝Meadows; Boris Slutsky, chair of the piano department at the Peabody Conservatory; and jury members Angela Cheng, Enrico Elisi and Ning An.
Tickets to the event are $15 for a single day, $45 for a four-day access pass.
