The Corporate Counsel Program truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The externship gave me a practical understanding of how outside counsel and in-house counsel collaborate to create effective legal solutions. I enjoyed reviewing and analyzing contracts, which boosted my transactional skills. Overall, my externship experience was excellent, and I encourage anyone interested in corporate law to explore this unique opportunity!

PepisiCo

My experience at PepsiCo was a learning experience made fun! The legal team threw me into the action on day one. My key experience was helping draft an agreement between PepsiCo and a large supplier. Through the externship, I got a feel for what it was like to be an in-house attorney. 

Atlanta Hawks

The best thing about the Corporate Counsel Externship Program is the access. Getting to interact with skilled attorneys on a daily basis provides such a unique experience that you can't get in the classroom. My externship with the Hawks gave me valuable insight into the role of in-house counsel and showed me how to be successful in the legal world. 

Southwest Airlines

I consider the CCEP a capstone for anyone interested in business law at ҹɫ����Dedman Law. I was able to see so many different facets of a corporate legal department, and apply what I learned in class to the real world. I strongly believe this program situates students to be better future attorneys, whether they will work in-house or for a firm.

The Beck Group

This externship program experience has made me feel much more comfortable reading contracts and understanding the content. I had never truly reviewed lengthy corporate contracts before this class, so it was a great learning experience and something that I felt was necessary to my legal education.

Hunt Oil

The Corporate Counsel Externship Program was such an invaluable experience for me. It allowed me to take a front row seat in the high stakes world of oil and gas. I was given assignments on projects based all over the world.

I attended ҹɫ����Dedman School of Law to participate in this program and it did not disappoint. The most valuable learning experience was interacting with the BFS attorneys on a daily basis. It was during my casual and friendly conversations with the BFS attorneys that I gained invaluable knowledge and advice.

Fossil Group

After graduation, I will be working with private and public companies as they navigate acquisitions. The Corporate Counsel Externship Program gave me real-world experience and in-depth exposure to many issues facing the in-house attorney, which will make me a better communicator as I work with in-house clients to assess what they need and successfully assist them in achieving their goals.
