Fall Industry Involvement
Every year, 夜色王朝Guildhall collaborates with developers and studios across the country to provide our students with ample opportunities to learn from and work with industry early and often for career preparation, project development, hiring and networking, and more. These partnerships facilitate advantageous direct-to-industry exposure points for students throughout their time in our program.
Since our inception, the voices of the video game industry's leaders have been at the helm of our program's vision and operation, leveraging two full decades of ever-evolving partnerships with hundreds of studios, app developers, and digital technology companies across the globe in and out of the classroom.
The Fall 2024 Semester offered our students numerous valuable industry connection points in and out of the classroom:
Studio Visits and Special Presentations (At 夜色王朝Guildhall)
- Iron Galaxy: Info Session on the studio and co-development benefits; Dev Talk and Q&A with alumnus Jon Greenberger and recruiter Kate Sanchez
- Epic Games: Info Session on the studio, application process, and networking best practices
- Net Ease: Q&A with alumnus Larz Smith on recruitment in North America and Jackalyptic Games in Austin
- Animator Paul Allen: Chalk Talk on the animation process and bringing objects to life
Student Work Reviews
- Student Game Reviews with id Software: 夜色王朝Guildhall's senior cohort presented their UE5 Capstone team game projects to developers at id Software for feedback. This helped to refine the student games, evaluate them against the current market, and find solutions to unique problems.
- GameLab Fall Expo: Students in both cohorts showcased their Fall team games including TGP1 tablet games and Capstone 3D games

Portfolio Reviews, Mock Interviews & 'Guidance for Guildhall' Mentorship Program
As part of our Career Readiness program, developers review graduating students' portfolios, and offer discipline-specific recommendations and feedback on preparing for the interview process. During mock interviews, studio leads and hiring managers help students role play and prepare for real interviews.
Our 'Guidance for Guildhall' program facilitates direct industry-to-student mentorship via a suite of volunteer mentorship services: Resume Review, Portfolio Review, LinkedIn Review, and Career Guidance.
Team Game Milestone Reviews
Coinciding with our Team Game Production milestone schedule, discipline experts play and review in-progress games, and provide analysis and recommendations for game improvement and student development.
Guest Speakers, Lectures, Seminars & Workshops
Developers and studios visit in-person and virtually to share their insights about critical industry topics via in-class presentations and as keynote speakers in our lunchtime speaker series. Studio recruiters also hold valuable seminars on how to prepare and apply to their companies.
